The shooting of Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film *Peddi* has reportedly faced delays, raising concerns about its scheduled release. The sports drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, was initially expected to wrap up shooting by October 2025. However, according to sources including India Today, production is unlikely to be completed before January 2026 due to the film’s ambitious scale and meticulous attention to detail. This delay could impact the planned release date of March 27, 2026.

**Production Details: An Expanding Vision**

A source close to the project shared, “The scale of *Peddi* has grown far beyond the initial plan. Every schedule has been extended because of the detailing involved—from action choreography to period settings. The team doesn’t want to compromise on authenticity.”

Filming is taking place across multiple locations including Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Rajahmundry. The production features elaborate sets designed to authentically recreate a coastal town from the 1980s, emphasizing the filmmakers’ dedication to realism.

**Ram Charan’s Deep Involvement**

Ram Charan is reportedly involved in every facet of the production. The insider elaborated, “Even Buchi Babu is reviewing footage, discussing tone, and reworking scenes that don’t meet his standards. Naturally, that takes more time.”

Aside from juggling his role in *Peddi*, Charan is managing brand endorsements and preparing for his upcoming collaboration with director Sukumar. However, this next film’s schedule has also been pushed to mid-2026 due to the ongoing delays with *Peddi*.

Despite the setbacks, the makers are still targeting a March 2026 release, ideally around Ram Charan’s birthday. A member of the production team emphasized that the delays stem from ambition rather than disorganization.

“When you have someone like Ram Charan, who’s coming off *RRR* and stepping into a completely new zone, you want every frame to look world-class,” the team associate stated.

However, the pushed timeline leaves a very narrow window for post-production work, adding pressure to deliver a polished final product on time.
