Battlefield 6 is off to a great start, selling millions of copies and establishing itself as the shooter to beat this year. To add a cherry on top, the game is set to introduce Battlefield RedSec, marking the series’ return to the battle royale genre.

While details about the new mode are still scarce, fans won’t have to wait long to learn more. Battlefield RedSec will be available starting on October 28 at the following times:

Currently, there is no preload option for Battlefield RedSec. It’s also unclear whether the free-to-play mode will require a separate launcher or if it will be integrated with the main Battlefield 6 installation. Because of this, players should keep an eye on Steam, the PlayStation Store, and Xbox at launch time to check if an update is needed or if a new download is required.

As with any major release, expect some server delays upon launch. However, it’s worth noting that EA handled the Battlefield 6 launch admirably. Despite huge queues, players were loaded into the game quickly and smoothly.
