Mohanlal also received warm wishes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who took to X to congratulate the superstar:

### Award Ceremony and Mohanlal’s Legacy

Mohanlal will be formally honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award during the 71st National Film Awards ceremony scheduled for September 23, 2025. The award is considered the highest honor in Indian cinema.

With a career boasting around 400 films and five National Awards to his name, Mohanlal’s contribution to Indian cinema is immense. He was previously awarded the Padma Shri in 2001 and the Padma Bhushan in 2019.

Looking ahead, the Malayalam superstar is set to appear in *Vrusshabha*, written and directed by Nanda Kishore, which is slated for release on October 16, 2025.
