“We took the defeats seriously and planned” – Bengaluru Bulls’ assistant coach on the team sealing Top 4 spot in Pro Kabaddi 2025
**Bengaluru Bulls’ Big Victory and Road to Top Four in Pro Kabaddi 2025**
Bengaluru Bulls’ assistant coach Jeeva Kumar reflected on their emphatic 54-26 victory against Gujarat Giants in Pro Kabaddi 2025. It was a one-sided affair, with the Bulls showcasing a dominant performance.
Jeeva Kumar revealed that the team’s strategy was centered around an aggressive approach. “We had planned to win by more points. We knew we would slip down the rankings if we scored fewer points and lost the game. So, we aimed to get as many points as possible,” he explained during the post-match press conference.
Despite facing a few close defeats earlier in the season, Kumar emphasized that the team took those losses seriously. “Most of our defeats were close and came down to tie-breakers. There haven’t been significant ups and downs. The team remained solid. We treated the defeats as lessons, planned accordingly, and that’s why we qualified for the playoffs,” he added.
Following this crucial win, the Bengaluru Bulls sealed their spot in the top four, finishing third after the league stage with 22 points from 18 matches. Their next challenge will be against the Telugu Titans in the Mini-Qualifier during the playoffs.

**Gujarat Giants Reflect on Season After Loss to Bengaluru Bulls**
On the other side, the defeat against Bengaluru Bulls marked the end of the campaign for Gujarat Giants. With three successive losses towards the end of the season, they missed the chance to qualify for the playoffs.
Gujarat Giants’ assistant coach Varinder Singh described the season as tough and a mixed experience. “The season was challenging. It was a mix—we struggled at the start, performed well in the middle, and then faced some dips again. There have been a lot of learnings along the way,” he commented.
Singh also expressed regret over losing some close matches and tie-breakers, as well as dealing with injuries to key players. “We lost some close games and some players due to injuries, which impacted our performance,” he noted.
The Giants ended the season eleventh on the points table with 12 points and a score difference of -73. They will be aiming to come back stronger and put up a better display in the next season.
