President Donald Trump has threatened possible U.S. military action against Islamist militants in Nigeria if the country’s government does not stop the groups’ “killing of Christians.”

In a post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, Trump stated that he is instructing the Pentagon “to prepare for possible action” to address the ongoing violence.

Additionally, he threatened an immediate cutoff of U.S. aid to the West African nation if the Nigerian government fails to act.
