US President Donald Trump announced plans to meet next week with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, highlighting the excellent chemistry they shared during a brief encounter at the UN General Assembly.

Trump mentioned that he and Lula spoke briefly and embraced after the Brazilian leader addressed the Assembly.

Despite their recent differences, particularly concerning the trial and conviction of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, the two leaders appeared to have reached a positive understanding.

“We had a good talk, and we agreed to meet next week,” Trump said.
