PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) – Three teenagers have been arrested on charges of attempted carjacking in Porterville.

The incident occurred on August 29th when the victim was unloading her car on East Poplar Avenue. According to police reports, three men approached her, and one of them displayed a firearm, demanding the keys to her vehicle.

Fortunately, the victim was able to activate the panic alarm on her key fob, startling the suspects and causing them to flee the scene.

Over the next two months, investigators worked diligently to track down the suspects. One of those arrested is 18-year-old Anthony Aguilar of Porterville. The other two are 17 years old; however, their identities are withheld due to their status as minors.

Authorities continue to monitor the case as it proceeds through the legal system.
