Considered one of Las Vegas’ best-value casinos and located less than a mile east of center-Strip, Ellis Island has completed the first phase of its $35 million expansion and renovation. The casino floor has nearly doubled in size and is almost unrecognizable, with the old center bar gone and a new bar in the expanded area. There’s also a new facade out front with 1, 200 square feet of LEDs and a renovated portico. The second phase is in progress and has already yielded a stunning rooftop bar called The Deck, and the relocated Boomer’s sports book will open soon. When completed, the total project will have added 35, 000 square feet to the property.
