This 1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 is one of 2, 255 Touring-bodied Spider convertibles built during four years of production. Initially produced for the Italian market, it was delivered to a US military officer stationed in Belgium and later relocated to the US in the 1970s. The car would remain under the care of the officer and one additional owner until it was acquired by the current owner’s husband in 1998. It was relocated to California at that time, and subsequent refurbishment work involved a repaint in silver and a refresh of the interior with blue leather upholstery and color-coordinated wool carpets. Between 2022 and 2024, mechanical refurbishment work was performed by Epifani Restorations and Hasselgren Engineering of Berkeley, California. The 2, 584cc DOHC inline-six has been equipped with triple Weber carburetors, and work performed during the 2024 refurbishment included fitting the five-speed manual gearbox with a revised gear set, overhauling the rear end, and rebuilding the four-wheel disc brakes. The car rides on Borrani wire wheels and is further equipped with a black soft top, a Nardi steering wheel, and a Blaupunkt push-button radio. This Tipo 106 2600 Spider is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with Alfa Romeo documentation, service records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean California title.
