Spry Fox’s cozy MMO Spirit Crossing adds more daily scenarios, friend quests, and fishing excursions

Over the past year, we’ve been keeping an eye on Spirit Crossing, the comfy non-combat MMO from developer Spry Fox that opened to alpha testing this past July. We’re back again with another report, as the game’s latest patch has brought some exciting new features to the table. And that table is probably decorated with a cute handmade doily and a nice cup of tea.
The latest build introduces additional daily quests and a new type of mineral resource to gather. Players can also enjoy a set of extra friendship quests that involve helping a fortune teller and delivering piping hot dumplings.
In build mode, there’s now the ability to move grouped furnishings, making customization even more convenient. Additionally, a new multiplayer-focused fishing activity has been added, encouraging friends to gather together to make a big catch.
Storms that plague the game’s world have also seen some updates. Players can now take shelter near protective bonfires scattered around the map. Those who weather the storm will gain the benefit of Rainbow Time, which grants bonus stamina and spawns a new gatherable called the storm shroom.
