While a lot of work and passion went into bringing Air Ride back after two decades, Sakurai made it clear that he has no plans to turn this into an ongoing series moving forward. Near the end of the hour-long Kirby Air Riders Direct, he stated, “Just so you know: we’re not planning any DLC. Everything is here. Also, I’m not planning on making this an ongoing series.”

This straightforward quote leaves no room for doubt about Sakurai’s stance on the matter.
