Indian opener Smriti Mandhana has etched her name in the record books by scoring the second-fastest century in Women’s One Day Internationals (WODIs). She achieved this milestone in just 50 balls during the third game against Australia at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. Mandhana’s blistering innings of 125 runs off 63 balls was a spectacular display, although India’s total of 369 fell short while chasing a massive 413-run target.

Lanning scored 4,602 runs at a phenomenal average of 53.51, complemented by 21 half-centuries. Her best performance came with an unbeaten 152. Lanning announced her retirement before turning 31, ending an illustrious career defined by prolific run-scoring and captaincy.
