**Pikmin 4 Update Version 1.1.0 Launches with New Features Including Photo Mode and New Difficulty Levels**

The previously teased update for *Pikmin 4* has officially launched, bringing a variety of exciting new features to the game on Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. Version 1.1.0 introduces a host of additions, including a new Field Camera that lets players take and decorate pictures of the vibrant world of Pikmin. But that’s just the beginning.

### What’s New in Pikmin 4 Version 1.1.0?

Released this week, the update was initially teased a few weeks ago without a set release date. It now delivers several gameplay improvements and additions that enhance the overall experience. One of the standout features is the *Field Camera*—a new item players can obtain on the morning of day 2 in the game. This camera allows you to capture snapshots of your journey and decorate them with fun stamps and frames.

Additionally, the update introduces *Décor Pikmin*, special Pikmin that can only be found and captured by using the Field Camera. Once you’ve added these Pikmin to your squad, you can share their data with the mobile game *Pikmin Bloom*, unlocking seedlings for the same Décor Pikmin within the app.

### New Gameplay Features

– **Activity Levels for Creatures:** Players can now choose from three activity levels for Pikmin creatures: *Relaxed*, *Normal*, and *Fierce*. This setting can be adjusted anytime through the Options menu.

– **Field Camera & Photo Decoration:** Starting from day 2, the Field Camera becomes available for taking photos and decorating them with various stamps and frames.

– **Décor Pikmin:** These new Pikmin appear once you’ve rescued the Rescue Corps Ranger Dingo. Use the Field Camera to capture pictures of them and add them to your squad. Sharing their data with *Pikmin Bloom* requires that the Nintendo Account used on both the Switch and mobile app is the same.

– **New Game + – Roll Over Option:** After clearing the story, players can start a new adventure while carrying over certain save data by selecting the “Roll Over” option on an empty Rescue Database file. If you have reached day 2 in a prior playthrough, you can skip the introduction and begin your new journey from exploration day 2 at Sun-Speckled Terrace, immediately after creating an ID Badge.

### Added Control Options

The update also brings new control settings to improve gameplay comfort and precision:

– Toggle *Auto Target Lock* for the cursor on or off via the Options menu.

– Choose whether the whistle’s center point is based on the *player avatar* or the *cursor*. The default is set to Player Avatar if playing on Relaxed mode but can be changed at any time.

– Select the aiming arrow speed to be *Normal* or *Precise*. The Precise setting helps players fine-tune the direction of Pikmin’s Charge and Oatchi’s Rush moves.

### Bug Fixes and Additional Notes

– Various minor issues have been fixed to enhance the gameplay experience.

– A patch including these changes has also been pushed to the *Pikmin 4* demo (version 1.1.0). Note that the demo cannot connect to the *Pikmin Bloom* mobile app.

That sums up the complete *Pikmin 4* Version 1.1.0 update. Fans of the series can stay updated on the latest news and developments via the dedicated Pikmin series topic.
