### What’s New in the Pikmin 4 Version 1.1.0 Update?
Nintendo officially released the *Pikmin 4* Version 1.1.0 update this week, following a tease a few weeks ago. Key highlights include the introduction of a Field Camera, new Decor Pikmin discoverable only through the camera, a New Game + mode with a Roll Over option, new difficulty settings, and several quality-of-life improvements.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the update:
—
### Newly Added Gameplay Features
– **Activity Levels for Creatures:** Players can now choose between three activity levels – Relaxed, Normal, or Fierce. This setting can be changed anytime via Settings in Options (- Button).
– **Field Camera:** Starting on the morning of Day 2, the Field Camera is added to your bag, allowing you to take pictures and decorate them with stamps and frames. If you update save data from before the patch, the camera will be added when you return to the Rescue Command Post on the morning of the next day.
– **Decor Pikmin:** These special Pikmin appear in the story, and you can add them to your squad by using the Field Camera to photograph them after rescuing Rescue Corps Ranger Dingo. Decor Pikmin information can be shared with the mobile game *Pikmin Bloom* to receive seedlings of the same types in that app.
– **Data Sharing with Pikmin Bloom:** By sharing your Nintendo Account ID and data of discovered Decor Pikmin when you finish exploration on the day of discovery, you can get matching seedlings in *Pikmin Bloom*. Note that the Nintendo Account used in *Pikmin 4* and *Pikmin Bloom* must be the same.
– **Roll Over (New Game +):** Start a new playthrough while carrying over some save data after clearing the story. Select an empty Rescue Database on the file selection screen with a file that has finished the game. If you reached Day 2 in the story previously, you can skip the introduction and start directly on Day 2, heading toward Sun-Speckled Terrace after creating an ID Badge.

### Control Improvements
New control settings have been added to enhance gameplay precision and comfort:
– Toggle Auto Target Lock for the cursor on or off.
– Choose the center point of the whistle between the cursor or the player avatar. The default is Player Avatar when the activity level is set to Relaxed but can be changed at any time.
– Select the arrow speed when aiming by holding down the X button—choose between Normal or Precise. Precise mode offers better adjustment when directing Pikmin’s Charge or Oatchi’s Rush.
—
### Bug Fixes and General Improvements
– Various other issues have been fixed to improve the overall gameplay experience.
*Note:* These changes also apply to the Pikmin 4 demo (Ver. 1.1.0), though the demo version cannot connect to the *Pikmin Bloom* smart device application.
