Packers’ Micah Parsons leaves Broncos game with knee injury
The Bears’ rematch against their rival Packers will likely take place without Green Bay’s best player. Edge rusher Micah Parsons was helped off the field in Denver on Sunday after suffering what appeared to be a non-contact knee injury.
ESPN reported following the Packers’ 34-26 loss to the Broncos that Parsons is believed to have torn his ACL, an injury that would sideline him for the remainder of the season.
The 10-4 Bears are set to host the Packers on Saturday, just 13 days after falling to them at Soldier Field in their previous matchup.
In addition to Parsons’ potential absence, the Bears could be without two of their top receivers. Rome Odunze remains out with a chronic foot issue that flared up during warmups on Sunday. Meanwhile, Luther Burden II left the game with an ankle injury.
Despite these challenges, the Bears managed to contain Parsons effectively in their first meeting. However, Packers coach Matt LaFleur later expressed frustration over holding penalties that, according to him, were not called by officials at the time.
