**NIRF 2025 Rankings Released: Top Medical Colleges and Overall Top Institutes**

*New Delhi:* On September 4, the Ministry of Education released the results of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025. This year’s rankings cover 17 different categories, spanning universities with an emphasis on sustainability, engineering, management, medical, and more.

### Top Medical Colleges as per NIRF Ranking 2025

1. **All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi**
2. **Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh**
3. **Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore**
4. **Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry**
5. **Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow**

Delhi-based AIIMS has once again secured the top position in the medical category, reaffirming its status as a premier medical institution in India. Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, has secured the third spot, followed closely by JIPMER, Puducherry at fourth place, and SGPGIMS, Lucknow rounding out the top five.

AIIMS Delhi also performed strongly in the overall category, securing the 8th position among India’s top universities and institutes.
