Marvel Rivals has been going strong as a PvP game since its release at the end of 2024. However, soon players will get to experience some PvE action with their favorite heroes and villains. The developers have announced an upcoming Marvel Zombies mode, which will pit groups of players against increasingly dangerous hordes of undead enemies.

This new mode is set to launch in an update coming next week. NetEase Games shared the details of the Marvel Zombies mode in a recent developer video posted on Marvel Rivals’ social media channels. Starting on October 23, 2025, players will be able to jump into this exciting new mode.

The Marvel Zombies mode is based on and coincides with the Marvel Zombies animated series that recently launched on Disney+. Similar to many traditional zombie modes, teams of up to four players will battle against waves of undead hordes, trying to survive as long as possible as the intensity ramps up wave by wave.

From the first look at gameplay, Marvel Rivals’ take on a Zombies mode appears fairly by-the-numbers, but it still seems fun to take down hordes of undead as characters like Blade, Thor, Magik, and more. Additionally, this mode marks one of Marvel Rivals’ first ventures into PvE content, potentially laying the foundation for future events and expansions.

With Halloween just around the corner, this new Marvel Zombies mode is perfectly timed for some spooky, action-packed fun. Get ready to team up and fight for survival against the undead starting October 23!
