Deepa Mehta, the first wife of actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar and a renowned costume designer, has passed away. The sad news was confirmed by their son, Satya Manjrekar, who shared a heartfelt tribute on social media. Alongside a smiling picture of his mother, Satya wrote, “I miss you mumma.” The cause of her death has not yet been disclosed. May she rest in peace.

**Career and Family**

Deepa Mehta had a successful career as a costume designer and also ran a popular saree brand called Queen of Hearts. She married Mahesh Manjrekar in 1987, with whom she had known since their college days. The couple had two children together: a daughter, Ashwami Manjrekar, and a son, Satya Manjrekar.

However, their marriage ended in divorce in 1995. After the separation, both children reportedly chose to live with their father.

**Mahesh Manjrekar’s Second Marriage**

Following the divorce, Mahesh Manjrekar married actor Medha Manjrekar. The couple has a daughter named Saiee Manjrekar, who has made a mark in Bollywood with her debut in *Dabangg 3*, a film she starred in alongside her father. Saiee has also appeared in movies like *Major* and *Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay*.

Additionally, Mahesh Manjrekar’s stepdaughter, Gauri Ingawale, is an actor known for her work in films such as *Panghrun*, *Hi Anokhi Gath*, and *De Dhakka 2*.
