John Wick Creator Says Ordained Adaptation Will Star Colin Farrell
**John Wick Creator Derek Kolstad to Adapt Bad Idea Comic *Ordained* Starring Colin Farrell**
At the recent Bad Idea Comics panel during New York Comic Con, *John Wick* franchise writer and creator Derek Kolstad made an exciting revelation: Colin Farrell is set to star as the lead in the upcoming cinematic adaptation of the Bad Idea comic book *Ordained*. Kolstad will also be adapting the comic for the big screen.
*Ordained* #1, scheduled for release on December 10th, is written by Robert Venditti with artwork by Trevor Hairsine, Dave Stewart, and David Baron. The comic also marks the return of the acclaimed artist Tonči Zonjić to the series.
Derek Kolstad and Robert Venditti are also collaborating on *Planet Death*, another title from Bad Idea Comics. The comic has seen tremendous success, selling nearly a million copies using selective discount and bulk buying strategies.
According to Kolstad, the idea for adapting *Ordained* came about while he and Venditti were discussing *Planet Death*. After Venditti described the story of *Ordained*, Kolstad immediately contacted the publisher to secure the adaptation rights, stating they’d have to “pry it from his cold, dead hands.”

What makes Father Roy formidable is his past: he was a Navy SEAL before turning to the priesthood. Although he refuses to kill his attackers, Father Roy unleashes brutal violence as he battles his way to confront Byrne.
The story is a gripping blend of faith, violence, and redemption, exploring Father Roy’s internal struggle as a man of God with a warrior’s past.
