EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Jaehshon Thomas scored 18 points to help Drake hold on for a narrow 66-65 victory over Evansville on Sunday.

Thomas was efficient from the field, going 7 of 12 overall and hitting 4 of 6 from beyond the three-point line. His performance was a key factor in the Bulldogs’ win, improving their record to 7-6 overall and 1-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play.

Wilguens Jr. Exacte contributed 11 points for Drake, shooting 5 of 15 from the field. Despite the shooting struggles, Exacte’s scoring helped maintain the Bulldogs’ momentum throughout the game.
