Carlos Alcaraz recently shared a photo of himself watching one of Spain’s ties at the 2025 Davis Cup Finals from his living room. The photo went viral, with much of the discussion surrounding it being about the humble nature of the room. American former ATP stars Sam Querrey and Steve Johnson also weighed in on the subject, as they found the state of Alcaraz’s living room hard to believe. The room, as per the photo shared by the Spaniard, was a rather small one with a table at the center of it covered with a plastic sheet. Querrey, speaking on the Nothing Major podcast, straight up called the room “bad” before he urged co-host Johnson to share what he feels about it. Thanks for the submission! “It’s a bad living room. However, the 35-year-old opined that the Alcaraz family should be in a position to afford a more spacious arrangement for making the World No. 1’s rehabs and workouts at home more comfortable. Johnson added: “It looks like what it should be because if you watched his documentary on Netflix, maybe a year ago, maybe less than a year ago, like, this is what his house is like. He still lives at home with his parents. He’s got a small little bedroom and he’s doing his workouts and rehabs. It’s crazy to me. I feel like they should be able to get a better living room. According to Johnson, this was a “subtle flex” from the Spaniard’s side. “It’s a little surprising, but I do like the subtle flex there with all the trophies in the background,” Johnson concluded. Regardless of people’s opinions on the subject, Carlos Alcaraz himself has repeatedly expressed how good he feels to spend time with his loved ones at his family home in Murcia, Spain. On the tennis front, the six-time Slam champion ended 2025 as the World No. 1 but finished as the runner-up at the year-end ATP Finals, losing to Jannik Sinner in the final.
