Indore News: CCTV Cameras To Be Installed At Bus Stops For Safety, Cleanliness

**Indore Municipal Commissioner Orders Installation of CCTV Cameras at Bus Stops to Enhance Public Safety and Cleanliness**
Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Municipal Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav has issued directives for the installation of CCTV cameras at bus stops across the city. This initiative aims to enhance public safety, monitor cleanliness, and curb the illegal practice of putting up posters and pamphlets without permission.
During an early-morning inspection of sanitation arrangements, Commissioner Yadav visited several key locations, including Janjeerwala Square, Snehlataganj, Rajkumar Bridge, Railway Station, SGSITS, Lantern Square, Jail Road, Chimanbagh, Rambagh, Tilak Path, and Hamilton Road. He was accompanied by Additional Commissioners Rohit Sisonia, Abhay Rajnangaonkar, and Manoj Pathak, along with Superintendent Engineer B.R. Lodhi, health officials, and other staff members.
At Janjeerwala and Lantern squares, cleanliness standards were found to be unsatisfactory. Commissioner Yadav reprimanded sanitation staff and NGOs for negligence. He also expressed displeasure over the untrimmed plantation along SGSITS Road and ordered immediate maintenance.
Several bus stops were observed with scattered garbage. Yadav ordered immediate cleaning and the installation of CCTV cameras at these locations. He emphasized that the move would facilitate real-time monitoring, deter littering, and ensure strict action against offenders.
In addition, the commissioner directed that challans (fines) be imposed on individuals putting up posters and pamphlets illegally in public places.
Further inspections were conducted at Snehlataganj, Rajkumar Bridge, Nehru Park Road, and areas near the railway station, where officials were instructed to clear footpaths.
In Zone 3, garbage was found inside the Labour Commissioner’s office and green waste near the labour camp. Yadav ordered prompt removal of the waste.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining sanitation in colonies, lanes, and by-lanes at the same level as main roads, Commissioner Yadav instructed special night-time cleaning at pandals and major intersections in view of the upcoming Navratri festival.
This comprehensive approach reflects the municipal administration’s commitment to improving public hygiene, safety, and the overall environment across Indore.
