Horrible Bronny James cardiac arrest news confirmed
The Los Angeles Lakers have long been one of the most controversial franchises in American sports. That’s been especially true during superstar forward LeBron James’ tenure with the team. Last season started off with a bang when the Lakers selected James’s son, Bronny James, in the second round with the 55th overall pick despite him having an underwhelming collegiate career. Bronny’s first season in the NBA was a frustrating one, as he went back and forth between the Lakers and their G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. Ultimately, his rookie campaign was just as underwhelming as his lone season with the USC Trojans, as he averaged only 23 points per game and less than seven minutes a game. Bronny’s second season is looking to be just as frustrating, as the Lakers demoted him back to the South Bay Lakers on Thursday, according to Bleacher Report. As poorly as things are going for Bronny, it’s worth noting that he is behind his developmental curve due to no fault of his own. By his own admission, the cardiac arrest that he suffered in his time as a Trojan set him back. “My days aren’t normal anymore,” he told Men’s Health last year. “I still feel like I’m getting back, I’m getting back to where I was.” Bronny’s words are confirmation that he lost time just working to get back to the level he was at before the cardiac arrest. For that reason, it may be fairer to treat this year as his rookie campaign. It’ll be interesting to see if he rejoins his father on the NBA roster and how he looks if he does.
