**Swachhta Utsav: Special Cleanliness Inspection Conducted at MY Hospital, Indore**

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): As part of the ongoing Swachhta Utsav launched across Madhya Pradesh by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, a special cleanliness inspection was carried out at Maharaja Yeshwantrao (MY) Hospital on Thursday.

The inspection was led by Dr. Arvind Ghanghoria, Dean of MGM Medical College, accompanied by Superintendent Dr. Basant Nigwal and other senior officials. During the thorough round, Dr. Ghanghoria inspected various sections of the hospital premises, including the campus, wards, canteen, and building facilities.

He expressed serious concern over the unhygienic conditions found in multiple areas. Consequently, a fine of Rs. 10,000 was imposed on HLL, the company responsible for hospital sanitation, for failing to maintain proper cleanliness standards. Similarly, the hospital canteen operator was also fined Rs. 10,000 for neglecting hygiene protocols in food preparation and storage areas.

Dr. Ghanghoria conducted a detailed floor-to-floor inspection, covering levels from the ground floor up to the sixth floor. He directed HLL to maintain daily cleaning records, provide an attendant sheet, and submit regular sanitation reports.

Additionally, the company was instructed to install protective nets at the dialysis unit located on the sixth floor to prevent pigeons from entering, as well as to thoroughly clean ducts, basement floors, and window areas.

Furthermore, the Dean called upon the Public Works Department (PWD) to complete the renovation of toilets, washrooms, and ducts on the first floor by October 5, 2025. PWD engineers and contractors assured that the work would be completed within the specified timeline.

The inspection team also included SDM Indore Pradeep Soni and other officials, ensuring a comprehensive approach towards improving hospital hygiene and sanitation standards.
