‘Historic Decision! Only PM Modi Could Have Done…’ MP CM Mohan Yadav Hails Restructured GST Slabs– VIDEO

**Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Hails New Two-Slab GST Structure as a Historic Decision**
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has praised the recently announced Goods and Services Tax (GST) structure, which now features only two tax slabs of 5% and 18%, replacing the earlier four slabs. He described this move as a historic decision that will benefit all sections of society and the economy, particularly Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and small and cottage industries.
Speaking to the media, CM Yadav emphasized that the restructured GST slabs will empower various sectors and provide much-needed relief. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling his commitment to the public by implementing tax cuts despite facing global challenges and geographical uncertainties.
“Only PM Modi can possess the boldness and ability to give tax cuts to the public while striving to strengthen economic progress amid global concerns,” Yadav remarked.
The Chief Minister also shared a video message on X, expressing his appreciation for the Prime Minister and the Union Finance Minister. His caption read:
“Under the guidance of the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, the decision to reduce GST rates in the GST Council meeting is like a bouquet for all sections of the country, covering all sectors. Along with industries, all sections of the country will benefit from it. Congratulations to the illustrious Prime Minister Ji and the Honourable Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Ji for this historic decision. #NextGenGST.”
**New GST Slabs: What Has Changed?**
The GST Council convened on Wednesday and approved the new tax structure, retaining just two slabs—5% and 18%—while doing away with the previous 12% and 28% slabs. This significant change is expected to lower prices on several essential and daily-use items.
For consumers, the impact will be noticeable in everyday kitchen staples. Products such as vegetable oil, pasta, cornflakes, biscuits, namkeens, and bhujia will now attract a GST rate of 5% instead of the earlier 12%, thereby directly passing on the benefit to the public.
This streamlined GST structure aims to simplify taxation, boost economic growth, and provide relief to consumers across India.
