While rains have lashed the entire state, Nashik district has also been hit hard. Heavy rains continued uninterrupted from Saturday evening till Sunday afternoon, disrupting normal life in Igatpuri, Trimbakeshwar, Yeola, Baglan, Malegaon, Nandgaon, Niphad, and other talukas, including Nashik city.

In Baglan, a woman died due to the rains, while ten sheep were killed by lightning in Malegaon. Around 800 chickens died after the wall of a poultry farm collapsed in Balhegaon, Yeola, causing a significant financial loss to farmers.

The Godavari River in Nashik has crossed the flood danger level, prompting the administration to issue warnings to people residing along the riverbanks. In response, a large release of water has been made from eighteen dams across the district.

According to the weather department, heavy rains have affected many districts across the state. The intense rains in Nashik city and several talukas since Saturday evening have worsened the situation for farmers like Baliraja, who are already facing difficulties.

### Godavari River Crosses Flood Danger Level

Nashik city recorded 150 mm of rainfall in just twelve hours. The Godavari River has risen beyond the flood danger mark. The water level reaching the chest of Dutondya Maruti is considered a clear warning of possible flooding.

Continuous rain in the catchment area of the Gangapur dam has increased the likelihood of water discharge from the dam. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
