Director Milap Zaveri has revealed that a sequel to his upcoming film *Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat* is being considered. In an exclusive conversation with HT City, he shared, “There’s always a scope for a sequel in this country, especially in Hindi films. I have surely planned one, but I am curious to see the audience reaction to the first part.”

Zaveri added, “Why won’t someone make a sequel, considering my current climax demands it. I do have some thoughts.” The director’s enthusiasm suggests that if the first film is well-received, audiences can expect the story to continue.

The film stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa in a tragic love story filled with unexpected twists. Zaveri praised Harshvardhan’s contribution, believing the actor’s stardom adds significant appeal to the project. “When *Sanam Teri Kasam* re-released and did huge numbers at the box office, I messaged him and pitched my script,” he said, highlighting their collaboration.

### Genre and Inspirations

Zaveri also noted that *Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat* shares similarities with this year’s blockbuster *Saiyaara*, which has been one of the most loved films recently. However, he clarified that choosing this genre was not a deliberate attempt to mimic *Saiyaara*. “I made *Marjaavaan* (2019), and it was too tragic a love story at its core,” he explained, indicating his affinity for emotionally intense narratives.

### Release Date and Clash

*Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat* is slated for release on October 21, 2025. However, it will face competition at the box office as it goes head-to-head with Ayushmann Khurrana’s film *Thamma*.
