Ghislaine Maxwell’s bid for freedom suffered a significant setback on Monday when the Supreme Court declined to hear her appeal, RadarOnline.com can reveal. The former associate of Jeffrey Epstein, currently serving a 20-year prison sentence, has been making every effort to secure early release. However, with the court’s decision, her final hope now rests with former President Donald Trump.

**Maxwell’s Legal Team Responds**

Following the Supreme Court’s ruling on October 6, Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, issued a statement:

“We’re, of course, deeply disappointed that the Supreme Court declined to hear Ghislaine Maxwell’s case. But this fight isn’t over. Serious legal and factual issues remain, and we will continue to pursue every avenue available to ensure that justice is done.”

Earlier this year, Maxwell’s lawyers petitioned the Supreme Court to overturn her conviction. They argued that the charges brought against her in 2020 violated a non-prosecution agreement Jeffrey Epstein made with federal prosecutors in 2008. That agreement specified that “the United States” would not prosecute any of Epstein’s co-conspirators, named or unnamed, provided he complied with its terms.

**Background on Epstein’s Non-Prosecution Agreement**

In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to state criminal charges in Florida, receiving what many called a lenient sentence as part of his agreement with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami. Despite this, Maxwell, 63, was charged with conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors and is currently serving time behind bars.

**Prison Transfer Sparks Outrage Among Inmates**

Maxwell was initially incarcerated in Tallahassee, Florida, before being moved to a minimum-security facility in Texas, widely known as “Club Fed” due to its comparatively comfortable amenities. The 37-acre complex features dormitory-style housing with bunk beds, religious services, extensive medical care, and a focus on work and rehabilitation. In contrast to solitary confinement in higher-security prisons, inmates sleep in open cubicles housing four to eight women, with access to personal luxuries.

The transfer came after Maxwell’s private, two-day interview sessions lasting nine hours with Deputy U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche.

The move has enraged fellow inmates, including one serving a one-year sentence, Julie Howell, who spoke to RadarOnline.com:

“As a mother of a sex-trafficking victim, I’m absolutely disgusted she’s in this facility. Regardless of her reasoning, I don’t think she belongs here.”

**Could Trump Pardon Maxwell?**

While Maxwell’s last hope lies with a potential presidential pardon, former President Trump clarified earlier this summer that no one had approached him regarding pardoning Maxwell. When asked if he would consider granting her clemency, Trump said:

“Well, I’m allowed to give her a pardon, but I – nobody’s approached me with it. Nobody’s asked me about it. It’s in the news about that, that aspect of it, but right now, it would be inappropriate to talk about it.”

Despite Trump’s reluctance, Maxwell appeared to defend him during her interviews with Deputy Attorney General Blanche. She insisted she never witnessed the former president in any inappropriate context with young girls connected to Epstein.

“The President was never inappropriate with anybody. In the times that I was with him, he was a gentleman in all respects,” Maxwell said during the meetings.

She further added that she “actually never saw the President in any type of massage setting,” referencing the coded language prosecutors used to describe Epstein’s sexual interactions with young women she allegedly helped procure.
