Former Skyscanner CEO Mangelaars Joins Travelport C-Suite

Travelport has appointed former Skyscanner CEO John Mangelaars as its new Chief Operating Officer, where he will oversee all commercial activities of the travel technology company.
Mangelaars succeeds John Elieson, Travelport’s previous COO and Deputy CEO, who has been with the company for nearly six years and is stepping down this month.
John Mangelaars brings with him extensive experience from his approximately four-and-a-half years leading metasearch provider Skyscanner. Before that, he served as CEO of travel technology company Travix International, which was later acquired by the Trip.com Group.
“John’s track record of revolutionizing travel platforms at Skyscanner and Travix, combined with his enterprise technology expertise, positions him to increase our momentum as we redefine what’s possible in travel,” said Travelport CEO Greg Webb in a statement.
