**PM Modi to Launch Youth-Focused Initiatives Worth Rs 62,000 Crore Ahead of Bihar Assembly Polls**

*New Delhi:* Ahead of the announcement of Bihar Legislative Assembly election dates by the Election Commission, scheduled for Monday or Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch several youth-centric initiatives on Saturday. These schemes, including some specifically targeted at Bihar, are valued at Rs 62,000 crore and aim to empower the state’s young population.

One of the key launches is the revamped **Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana** in Bihar, which will provide a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 for two years to nearly five lakh graduate youths. This scheme aims to support young graduates financially as they seek employment or further skill development.

In a landmark step towards enhancing skill development, PM Modi will inaugurate the **Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University**, which will focus on promoting industry-oriented courses and vocational education. This initiative is expected to bridge the gap between education and employment by equipping youth with practical skills relevant to today’s job market.

On the education infrastructure front, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for new academic and research facilities in four key universities:

– Patna University
– Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura
– Jai Prakash Vishwavidyalaya, Chapra
– Nalanda Open University, Patna

These projects, funded under the **PM-USHA scheme** with a total allocation of Rs 160 crore, will benefit over 27,000 students by providing modern academic infrastructure, advanced laboratories, hostels, and multidisciplinary learning facilities.

PM Modi will also dedicate the **Bihta campus of NIT Patna** to the nation. The expanded campus now accommodates 6,500 students and hosts a **Regional Academic Centre for Space**, developed in collaboration with ISRO, along with an **Innovation and Incubation Centre** that has already supported nine startups. This move is expected to enhance research and innovation in the region substantially.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will felicitate 46 all-India toppers from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) during the **Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh**, the fourth edition of the National Skill Convocation. This event highlights the government’s focus on skill development and the importance of vocational education.

Further expanding skill development efforts, PM Modi will launch **PM-SETU**, a Rs 60,000 crore initiative aimed at upgrading 1,000 government ITIs across the country, with special emphasis on centers in Patna and Darbhanga. The program seeks to modernize infrastructure and training facilities to make ITI graduates more employable.

Other significant initiatives include:

– Inauguration of 1,200 Vocational Skill Labs across 400 Navodaya Vidyalayas and 200 Eklavya Model Residential Schools.
– Introduction of the redesigned **Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme**, offering interest-free loans of up to Rs 4 lakh for higher education.
– Formal launch of the **Bihar Yuva Ayog**, a commission dedicated to the youth aged 18-45, aimed at addressing their aspirations and harnessing their potential.

As part of the manpower push, over 4,000 government job appointment letters will be distributed, and Rs 450 crore in scholarships will be released to 25 lakh students under the **Mukhyamantri Balak/Balika Scholarship Scheme**.

With these comprehensive initiatives, the BJP envisions Bihar becoming a hub for skilled manpower, contributing to both regional growth and national development.
