Flavor Flav is clearing the air about his scoring decision on *Dancing With the Stars*.

After his rating of Alix Earle and partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy’s Paso Doble during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame episode prevented the duo from earning a perfect score, the Public Enemy rapper revealed the mishap that led to that eyebrow-raising move.

“As a judge on #DWTS, you hit your score on a computer first, then hold up the sign,” Flav wrote on X on November 4, following his guest judging stint on the show.

“I accidentally hit 9 for someone and told the crew I meant to hit 10, and they said they can’t change it and there’s nothing I can do.”

Further confirming his intentions, he added, “That girl deserved perfect 10s.”
