DU UG Admissions 2025: On-the-Spot Mop-Up Round Begins Today
Delhi University (DU) has announced its much-awaited on-the-spot mop-up round for undergraduate admissions, offering a final chance to fill approximately 7,500 vacant seats across various colleges. The admission process kicks off today, September 23, 2025, and will be conducted entirely in physical mode at the DU campus.
Merit-Based Seat Allocation
According to the official DU notification, seat allocation during this mop-up round will be strictly based on merit and seat availability. Shortlisted candidates will receive an invitation letter via email containing details such as the reporting date, time, and venue.
Only candidates with a valid official invitation letter will be permitted entry into the multipurpose hall for the admission process.
Strict Guidelines for Candidates
The university has issued a detailed advisory to ensure the smooth conduct of the mop-up round. Key guidelines include:
- Candidates must report in person; no representatives or proxies will be allowed under any circumstances.
- Failure to attend the mop-up round as per the given schedule will lead to automatic forfeiture of the admission claim.
- No requests for upgradation or withdrawal will be entertained once a seat has been allotted.
- Admission fees must be paid immediately online at the time of seat allocation. Candidates who fail to make the upfront payment will lose their allotted seat, which will then be offered to the next eligible candidate.
Documents Required for Admission
Candidates are required to bring both original and self-attested copies of the following documents:
- Invitation letter
- CSAS (UG) form
- Class X and XII certificates
- Government-issued photo ID
- Category certificates (if applicable)
Failure to present the required documents will result in cancellation of candidature.
Important Advisory for Students
Aspirants are advised to regularly check their emails for the latest updates regarding the mop-up round. It is recommended to maintain sufficient balance in bank accounts for fee payment at the time of seat allocation.
For easy access to the campus, candidates should take the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro to reach Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station.
Note: Attendance during the mop-up round does not guarantee admission, as seat allotment depends on merit and availability.
