Starting November 11, the documentary *Between the Mountain and the Sky* will be available to stream for free on its official website for a limited time.
Directed by Jeremy Power Regimbal, the film chronicles the inspiring journey of 2015 CNN Hero of the Year Maggie Doyne and Tope Malla over two decades as they build a home, school, and family for more than 50 orphaned children in Nepal.
“We’re rolling it out old-school— a D. A. Pennebaker-style roadshow in the back of a van, direct to the people,” said executive producer Mark Duplass. “Forget the gatekeepers. *Between the Mountain and the Sky* is going online, pay-what-you-want, no barriers. It’s indie filmmaking the way it’s meant to be: scrappy, human and a little bit punk rock.”
The free streaming release underscores the team’s dedication to accessibility and creative independence. The film has screened at over 40 festivals worldwide and received more than 30 international awards.
*Between the Mountain and the Sky* is produced by Duplass Brothers Productions and MPWR Content.
