Ukrainan’s military have captured an Indian national fighting for Russia, who says Moscow pulled him from jail and forced him into war with promises of freedom and money. He says he didn’t want to stay in behind bars and hoped to escape once deployed to the front. The man has been idetified as Majoti Sahil Mohamed Hussein. He is from Gujarat’s Morbi and had come to Russia to study in a university.

Phantom State of Palestine takes centre stage at United Nations

The United Nations (UN) annual performance of the Phantom State of Palestine comes to New York this week. The UN will be acting in flagrant violation of international law–namely the 1933 Montevideo Convention–which states: The state as a person of international law should possess the following qualifications: (a) a permanent population, (b) a defined territory, (c) a government, and (d) the capacity to enter into relations with other states.
