**BJP Leaders Clash with Police Outside Durgapur Gang-Rape Survivor’s Hospital**

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders were stopped by police from meeting a medical student who alleged she was gang-raped in Durgapur, West Bengal. The incident occurred behind a private medical college on Friday evening.

The victim, a second-year MBBS student from Odisha, was attacked in a secluded area near the hospital premises. Due to safety concerns, her father has stated that he plans to take her home.

### BJP Leaders Criticize Police and Mamata Banerjee

BJP leader Locket Chatterjee condemned the police presence inside the hospital, describing it as a “Talibani rule” under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. She questioned why police were permitted inside the hospital while doctors were not allowed access.

Another BJP MLA, Agnimitra Paul, criticized Banerjee’s advice for girls to stay indoors at night, comparing the state administration to the Taliban regime.

### Legal Proceedings Update

Three accused identified as Sk Riaz Uddin, Sk Firdoush, and Appu have been arrested and remanded to 10 days’ police custody by a Durgapur court.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee commented on the case saying, “The girl was studying in a private medical college. How she came out at night at 12:30? So far as I know, it (the incident) happened in a forest area.”

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to address the situation and ensure justice for the survivor.
