MANILA, Philippines — The Ayala group’s Automobile Central Enterprise Inc. (ACEI) has reached an agreement with Volkswagen AG to end the distribution of the German brand’s vehicles in the Philippines.

In a notice to customers, ACEI announced that Volkswagen BGC will continue its operations until September 30 only, in light of this development.

A member of the Ayala group, ACEI has been the official distributor of Volkswagen vehicles in the country, and this move marks the conclusion of their partnership with the German automaker.
