Early-morning crash claims life of Union Springs resident stabinski Wed, 11/26/2025 07: 15 Staff Reports A tragic accident early Sunday morning, November 23, resulted in the death of a 21-year-old man from Union Springs. Around 5 a. m., Isaac Vail-Carreto lost his life after the 2011 Honda Accord he was driving veered off U. S. Highway 82 and collided with a tree. The crash happened near mile marker 189, roughly 13 miles west of Union Springs in Bullock County. Vail-Carreto died at the scene from his injuries. Authorities with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing their investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time.
