Armin van Buuren has unveiled “Sonic Samba,” the debut single from his forthcoming piano album *Piano*, set to be released on October 31 exclusively on Apple Music and Apple Music Classical for one week before its wide release on November 7.

The track marks a new chapter in Armin’s artistic evolution, showcasing his first venture into fully acoustic, piano-led compositions. Recorded at ConcertLab in Utrecht, “Sonic Samba” strips away the trance rhythms and synth layers that have defined his career, replacing them with raw, emotive melodies played live in a single take.

“Sonic Samba” captures Armin’s deep connection to the piano—an instrument he began studying years ago to rediscover musical balance and mental clarity. Its organic sound highlights the freedom and precision that come from performing without electronic elements, offering fans a completely new listening experience.

Speaking about the release, Armin van Buuren said:
“Creating melodies behind the piano has always been the foundation of my music. Together with my teacher Geronimo, sketches grew into pure pieces, free from beats. This project shows another side of me—intimate, honest, direct.”

As the first glimpse of the full album, “Sonic Samba” represents the freedom and vulnerability driving *Piano*, which Armin describes as his most personal work to date. Each composition draws inspiration from family, nature, and self-reflection, blending his classical influences with a sense of calm that contrasts with his decades performing on festival mainstages.
