MANILA, Philippines — Grocery chain Makro is making a comeback to the Philippines after nearly two decades. This time, the Ayala group and its Thai partner will be at the helm of the operations.

Unlike before, Makro will feature modern facilities that are no longer exclusive to members, allowing a broader range of customers to enjoy its offerings.

On Wednesday, Ayala Corp. subsidiary ACX Holdings Corp. signed a partnership deal with a Thai firm to bring Makro back to the Filipino market.
