Ferrari Launches Flagship Testarossa in Japan

The new model succeeds the flagship SF90 Stradale, featuring improved engine output and enhanced aerodynamics. It boasts an impressive top speed exceeding 330 kilometers per hour and can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.3 seconds.
The car’s name, 849, reflects its eight-cylinder engine with a displacement of 499cc per cylinder. Powered by a 3,990cc V8 engine combined with three electric motors, the system delivers a maximum output of 1,050 horsepower—an increase of 50 horsepower over the previous model. Additionally, the vehicle can travel up to 25 kilometers on electric power alone.
Priced at 64.65 million yen including tax, deliveries are scheduled between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first half of 2027.
The Testarossa name, originally synonymous with Ferrari’s high-performance engines and an iconic symbol of the 1980s since the 1984 model, continues to shine as a hallmark of design excellence. The 849 Testarossa carries on this legacy with a striking design that includes connected front lights and a large spoiler, both contributing to enhanced aerodynamic performance.
Measuring 4,718 mm in length, 2,304 mm in width, and 1,225 mm in height, the car weighs 1,570 kg. Finished in an amber-toned paint, this new flagship has already captured global attention since its world premiere in Italy on September 9th earlier this month.
