Diablo 4 Season 11: Best Necromancer leveling build guide

Necromancers in Diablo 4 Season 11 are likely still going to be running Minion builds, as it’s still one of the easiest, fastest ways to get from 1 to 60. We’ll have to see how easily it transitions into an endgame build, but I plan on doing it either way, as I do every season. Nonetheless, it’s still a desirable way to play if you want to level without putting too much thought or effort into what you’re doing. Your minions will to be doing all of the fighting, and if you get lucky to get the new Gravebloom Unique, you’ll have even more minions, thanks to the three smaller Golems it raises. Combine this, with a solid Spirit Wolf Rune combo, and you’re well on your way to plowing through content with the greatest of ease. Here’s our favorite Necromancer leveling build in Diablo 4 Season 11. Note: This may change slightly once the season actually starts. If necessary we will update and make any changes. How does Necromancer minion leveling build work in Diablo 4 Season 11? It’s incredibly easy to play a minion leveling build as a Necromancer in Diablo 4 Season 11. You’re going to let your Skeletons and Golem(s) do all the heavy lifting while you apply curses and Corpse Tendrils to pull them all together. You combine it with Reap and Soulrift for more shadow damage and to generate essence on bosses. It’s a powerful, fast-moving build, and you don’t really have to put work in. The only real drawbacks is you can’t really control what your minions hit, so Corpse Tendrils sure helps. They don’t do huge, screen-clearing AOEs either, so you have to keep that in mind. You use Reap to create a corpse to use, Corpse Tendrils it, and Soulrift to keep yourself safe, and deal damage. You also want to make sure Decrepify always goes out, and keep your Skeletal Priest buff up for your SKeletal Warriors. Other than that, it’s a simple build, and it’s even easier when you get Cursed Aura to automatically Decrepify/Iron Maiden your enemies as you transition into the endgame. We’re going to want the following abilities on our hotbar: Reap Soulrift Raise Skeleton Raise Golem Decrepify Soulrift Talents and Book of the Dead picks for Diablo 4 Season 11 Necromancers Our talents improve damage, shadow damage, and reward us for having lots of minions. However, we’re not running Skeletal Mage Mastery at this time, because the Skeletal Warriors (and Golems) are the star right now. It is easy to transition into a Skeletal Mage build in the endgame. It was very powerful in Seasons 9 & 10, and I have a feeling it will still be strong in Diablo 4 Season 11. Below, you can see the talents we picked, and in which order we picked them. Naturally, if you feel something else needs to come first, by all means, it’s your build. Some players like to sacrifice their Mages and Golems, for more Overpower/Critical Strike in the Book of the Dead, but we’re definitely not doing that. For the Book of the Dead choices for Necromancer leveling builds in Diablo 4 Season 11, we want: Skeletal Warriors: Reaper: Choice #2 Mages: Shadow: Choice #2 Golem: Blood: #Choice #2 Ideal Divine Gifts for Necromancers Diablo 4 Season 11 I don’t think the Divine Gifts are going to be as impactful when it comes to leveling for Diablo 4 Season 11 Necromancers, except perhaps Essence of Squalor (Duriel). That’s the first one you can unlock in Helltides, though it’s only really impactful if you’re grinding Helltides. It grants Maggots the chance to drop EXP Globes, and is doubled if it’s your Purified Gift. For that reason alone, I’d recommend Helltides with this on to get more exp, but we’ll have to see if there’s a more impactful path. Ideal gifts are focused around specific gameplay elements, so you should equip the ones that impact the gameplay types you’re in. Which mercenary and Rune Combos are the best to pick for Diablo 4 Season 11’s Necromancer leveling build? While it’s up to you which Mercenary you pick, I like Raheir with Varyana as a backup. It’s also easy to swap these two around if you like the dps that Varyana brings to the table. I just like the extra defenses. I use Ancient Harpoons or Bloodthirst for my support on Varyana, attached to my attacks. Raheir’s best talents are: Ground Slam Raheir’s Aegis Bastion Inspiration As far as Rune Combos go, you don’t really need to focus on specific ones as you’re leveling. However, one I always pick when I’m leveling (and often even into the endgame) is Cir+Ceh (Use 5 attacks and become exhausted to summon Spirit Wolves) and Neo+Que (Avoid health damage for 2s to Invoke Druid’s Earthen Bulwark). Which Uniques and Legendary Aspects help you transition into endgame builds? While Uniques aren’t necessary for a Necromancer leveling build in Diablo 4 Season 11, there are a few that I think are fantastic. Ring of Mendeln is incredible for enhancing Minion damage, and Bloodless Scream is great damage. However, I’m more interested in finding Gravebloom for the change to Golems. I think it’s going to be the right pick here in Season 11. There are a few Legendary Aspects I highly recommend as you’re leveling in Diablo 4 Season 11. They’ll probably be familiar to long-time Necromancer players, as well. Most of them are pretty easy to get, too. Unfortunately, Aspect of Cursed Aura only drops on equipment, but I do recommend getting it for the mid/late game. Aspect of Hardened Bones Aphotic Aspect Aspect of Grasping Vines Blood Getter’s Aspect Aspect of Occult Dominion Aspect of Reanimation Aspect of Fel Gluttony Aspect of Frenzied Dead Aspect of Cursed Aura Check out our other Diablo 4 guides and features Diablo 4 Season 11: All Divine Gifts and how to get them Diablo 4 Season 11: All new Uniques Diablo 4 Season 11 Masterwork changes: Boon or bust?.
