Cullman attorney Sara Baker charged with attempted murder

CULLMAN, Ala. Cullman Attorney Sara Baker was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 25, charged with conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of attempted murder, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, second-degree elder abuse, four counts of solicitation to commit a controlled substance crime and second-degree domestic violence. The Cullman Police Department said Baker was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center, where she remains in custody pending bond. In a media release, the department said, “The Cullman Police Department would like to extend its appreciation to District Attorney Champ Crocker and the Cullman County District Attorney’s Office, as well as the FBI North Alabama Violent Crimes Task Force and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force for their assistance in this case. This is all the information available at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.” The Tribune is awaiting more information from Cullman Police Chief Joey Duncan.
