Headmaster Assaults Basic Shiksha Adhikari Inside Office in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh
Sitapur (Uttar Pradesh), September 23: In a shocking incident, a government primary school headmaster assaulted the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) inside his office in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur. The disturbing event was caught on camera, showing the headmaster thrashing the BSA with his belt. Following the incident, the headmaster has been arrested by the police.
Incident Details
The headmaster, identified as Brijendra Kumar Verma and posted at Nadwa Primary School, allegedly assaulted BSA Akhilesh Pratap Singh with a belt after a heated verbal argument. Verma was summoned to the BSA’s office to respond to a complaint filed against him.
During the meeting, BSA Singh expressed dissatisfaction with Verma’s explanation, which escalated the situation. In a fit of rage, Verma slammed a file on the table, tore important documents, and suddenly pulled out his belt to beat the officer.

The entire incident was recorded on camera, and the video quickly went viral, drawing widespread condemnation from the public and officials alike.
Police Action
The situation turned chaotic until other staff members present intervened and managed to rescue the BSA. The headmaster was overpowered and subsequently handed over to the police.
Following a complaint filed by BSA Singh at Kotwali Nagar police station, a case was registered under relevant sections of the law.
Police Respond
Sitapur police confirmed the arrest of Brijendra Kumar Verma. “On the basis of the written complaint, an FIR has been lodged under appropriate sections. The accused is in custody, and further action is being taken,” officials stated.
Education Department Action
In response to the incident, the education department has suspended Verma with immediate effect. Additionally, the BSA has recommended the termination of Verma’s services, calling the assault a serious breach of discipline and decorum.
