“Next time it’s going to be better” – Stamp Fairtex vows to return to form following ONE 173 setback
Former three-sport queen Stamp Fairtex of Thailand finally made her way back to the world’s largest martial arts organization, following a hiatus of more than two years dealing with a career-threatening knee injury. Stamp went three rounds with former K-1 champion ‘Krusher Queen’ Kana Morimoto at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri last Sunday, Nov. Speaking to veteran reporter Nick Atkin backstage, Stamp promised fans a better showing the next time she fights. The Thai megastar said: “It was good [that I was able to come back] for my birthday. Because if I didn’t come back today, it means like I would have waited a long time more. I’d get more tired and wait more. So it’s [a] good comeback for me now because next time it’s going to be better.” Check out Stamp Fairtex’s interview below: Despite the loss, Stamp believes she has finally shaken the cobwebs off and has now gained even more confidence in her surgically repaired knee. The Thai megastar tore her meniscus in late 2023 and was sidelined for over two years in recovery. Fans in the United States and Canada can check out ONE 173: Superbon vs. onefc. com. Stamp Fairtex says she needs to get in better shape for next fight: “I think I should do more cardio” Stamp Fairtex says her loss to ‘Krusher Queen’ Kana Morimoto at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16 was due to a lack of physical preparedness. She told Nick Atkin: “I felt excited and nervous as I said before. And, yeah, it’s a comeback. The first fight in over two years. I’m tired, but today I think I did good. Yeah, I think I should do more cardio or work on some techniques. More of that.” Stay tuned to Sportskeeda MMA for all the latest news and updates surrounding Stamp Fairtex’s next fight.
