The Supreme Court of India has declined to interfere with a Delhi High Court order that dismissed actor Jacqueline Fernandez’s plea to quash the Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) related to a ₹200 crore money laundering case.

The case involves alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is accused of duping the spouses of former Ranbaxy promoters Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh.

A bench comprising Justices Dipankar Datta and Augustine George Masih told senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, representing Fernandez, on Monday, “We will not interfere at this stage.”

**Legal Proceedings**

Jacqueline Fernandez had challenged the Delhi High Court’s July 3 order that dismissed her petition seeking to quash the ECIR in the money laundering case. The actor is named as an accused and has appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) multiple times for questioning.

While the Supreme Court did not grant relief to Fernandez today, it allowed her the opportunity to approach the court at an appropriate stage in the proceedings.

**Case Details**

Sukesh Chandrasekhar and his wife, Leena Paulose, are facing ongoing investigations by the Enforcement Directorate. Chandrasekhar has been booked by the Delhi Police for allegedly defrauding the former Ranbaxy promoters of ₹200 crore.

In addition to the money laundering case filed by the ED, several other investigations against Chandrasekhar are underway across the country.

Notably, Chandrasekhar continues to send love letters and make controversial statements about Jacqueline Fernandez from jail.

The case remains under active investigation as legal proceedings continue.
