Will There Be a Second Season of The Beast In Me?
**The Beast in Me** has marked Claire Danes’ exciting return to television and reunited her with creator Howard Gordon, with whom she collaborated for eight seasons on *Homeland*. This powerful combination alone has generated plenty of buzz. Adding to the anticipation is the impressive cast, which includes Matthew Rhys and Brittany Snow, alongside producers Conan O’Brien and Jodie Foster.
Danes stars as Aggie, a successful author grappling with the grief of losing her son. Her life takes an unexpected turn when Nile, a wealthy real estate mogul accused of murdering his wife, moves in next door. The show’s gripping premise has viewers eager for more — but what are the chances of a future season after these initial eight episodes?
### Will *The Beast in Me* Get a Second Season?
Originally announced as a limited series, *The Beast in Me* does not currently have a guaranteed continuation beyond its initial eight episodes. Danes’ most recent major TV role was in *Fleishman Is in Trouble*, which also lasted just one season.
However, creator Howard Gordon hinted that there might be room for a second season. In an interview with TV Insider, he said, “The short answer is I would say, sure. I think there probably is a story there.” While not a confirmation, it leaves the door open. For now, fans will have to wait for an official decision from Netflix.
### Potential Cast for Season 2
A big part of the show’s draw is the dynamic between Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys. If a second season moves forward, it seems likely the series would want to maintain this core relationship.
That said, Rhys has a busy schedule ahead. He’s involved with the second season of Apple TV+’s *Presumed Innocent*, stars in the upcoming Apple series *Widow’s Bay*, and is both starring in and producing *Wyrd*, based on the 2019 Dark Horse comic.
Claire Danes is equally occupied, currently filming the Hulu drama *The Spot* (stepping in for Kate Winslet) and starring in the forthcoming HBO series *The Applebaum Curse*, which reunites her with *My So-Called Life* creator Winnie Holzman.
Given her history of dedication to long-running projects — including nine years on *Homeland* — perhaps Howard Gordon can persuade Danes to return for another season of *The Beast in Me*.

Stay tuned for updates on whether *The Beast in Me* will continue past its initial run, as Netflix’s official word will ultimately determine the show’s future.
