During the **Maddening Pain** side quest in the *Mysteria Ecclesiae* DLC for *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you will need to find some ginger to create a special concoction. Normally, this is an ingredient you would purchase, but since there are no shops inside the monastery, you’ll have to search for it elsewhere.

The good news is that you can find an ample supply of ginger inside the monastery itself. Head to the **infirmary** and look for the alchemy room located at the back. To the right of the door leading into the alchemy room, there is a cabinet containing various supplies.

Open this cabinet, and you’ll find plenty of useful items such as charcoal and various dried herbs. Among these, there is also some ginger available for you to collect.

Once you have the ginger, you can proceed to make the potion needed for Maddie. However, it’s important to remember that you must complete this step **before finishing the Anamnesis quest**. If you finish Anamnesis first, you will lose the ability to complete the Maddening Pain quest.
