Pokemon Pokopia gets March 2026 release date
Pokémon Pokopia was first revealed in September 2025 as the franchise’s inaugural lifestyle simulation game. Initially slated for a 2026 release, Nintendo has now confirmed that Pokémon Pokopia will launch on March 5, 2026.
The release date announcement came via a post on X, although Nintendo did not share any new trailers, screenshots, or additional game details at that time. What is clear is that Pokémon Pokopia will be a Switch 2 exclusive, arriving early March alongside other major titles such as 007 First Light and Saros.
In Pokémon Pokopia, players take on the role of Ditto, the shape-shifting Pokémon. While Ditto adopts a human-like form, players will harness its unique ability to absorb powers from various Pokémon. These powers allow Ditto to shape the land, cultivate crops, and construct buildings, offering a fresh, immersive simulation experience within the Pokémon universe.
The game is being developed by Koei Tecmo and was revealed during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct. As Pokémon Pokopia joins the lineup of anticipated releases on Switch 2, 2026 is shaping up to be a significant year for the Pokémon franchise. Notably, the series will celebrate its 30th anniversary in February 2026, making this an exciting time for fans worldwide.
