Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole deactivates X account after alleged problematic posts resurface
Travis Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole, appears to have deleted her X account following backlash over alleged homophobic slurs and racist comments in a viral thread. The influencer, who formerly used the handle @iamkaylanicole on the platform, now has a page that reads “This account doesn’t exist” as of the time of this report.
The thread, shared on Wednesday, compiled a lengthy catalog of evidence purportedly revealing Nicole’s problematic past dating back to the early 2010s. One screenshot included an alleged comment from Nicole that read: “I can hear this Indian girl praying/chanting through the walls. She got 5 mo[sic] minutes n Imma let her know that buddah isn’t real. smh.”
A representative for Kayla Nicole did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
This update comes shortly after Nicole was thought to have taken a subtle jab at Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, through her Halloween costume. On Instagram, Nicole revealed she dressed as Toni Braxton for the holiday, recreating a scene from Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough” music video. “She’s an icon. She’s a legend. She’s @tonibraxton circa 2000,” Nicole captioned the clip.
During last Saturday’s episode of her “Pre-Game” podcast, the 34-year-old influencer explained that she chose the Toni Braxton costume due to a “very specific” childhood memory involving a friend named Taylor.
“I had a white best friend. Her name was Taylor,” Nicole recalled. “And she [had] the only house I could go over to as a kid because my mom didn’t play them type of games.”
She added, “I specifically remember driving home from private school in my uniform in the back of a paddy wagon with Taylor, and her mom was playing this song.”
Earlier in the month, Taylor Swift, 35, seemed to take a subtle shot at Kelce’s influencer ex in her song “Opalite,” featured on her album *The Life of a Showgirl*. The song is widely believed to be about her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, 36.
Swift’s lyrics, “You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose,” appeared to reference Nicole. The lines implied that the “Pre-Game with Kayla Nicole” podcast host was involved with Kelce for the sake of clout.
