Elena Rybakina claimed victory at the WTA Finals by defeating No. 1-ranked Aryna Sabalenka with a score of 6-3, 7-6 (0) on Saturday.

The sixth-ranked Rybakina delivered an impressive performance on the indoor hardcourt in Riyadh, striking eight aces and converting the only break of the match.

This marked Sabalenka’s second loss in the final of the season-ending tournament. The four-time Grand Slam winner previously fell to Caroline Garcia in the 2022 title match.
